O God, You are my God.
I seek You earnestly.
I thirst and hunger after You
With every part of me.
Because Your love is better than life,
My lips will sing Your praise.
So I will bless You all my days
And lift my hands in Your name.
So I have looked on You
Within Your sacred space.
I see Your glory and Your might,
Behold You in this place.
My soul will find its fill,
My mouth will gladly praise
When I remember You at night
And think upon Your ways.
For You have been my help,
And in Your shade I sing.
My desp’rate soul clings on to You,
Secure beneath Your wing.
But those who seek my harm
shall go down to the depths;
they shall be given to the sword
when justice brings their end.
The king shall joy in God,
and all who swear by Him
shall glory in the righteous Judge,
for He will end all sin.
