Beyond the scope of human sight
There is a throne of brilliant light.
Upon it sits the Lord of All,
And elders there before Him fall.
A storm arises from the throne;
Before it lies a sea.
And creatures praise Almighty God
With “Holy, holy, holy.”
To the One upon the throne,
To the Lamb who once was slain
Be blessing and honor.
To the One upon the throne,
To the Lamb who once was slain
Be glory forever!
I have no merit of my own
To come before this lofty throne.
I have no righteousness to bring
Before this holy King of Kings.
But I appeal to Jesus Christ,
My Lamb and Priest on high.
The Father bids me boldly come,
For Jesus cannot be denied.
Someday my faith will be made sight,
And I will see the throne of light.
The heav’nly scene now hid from view
Will be revealed when all is new.
And I will worship Him who sits
Upon that glo’rious throne.
And I will praise the Lamb of God,
Who laid His life down for my own.
